Weekly Four-Skill English Challenge: Week 10 – Going Sightseeing

Welcome to Week 10 of the Weekly Four-Skill English Challenge: Going Sightseeing!

This week, you’ll practise useful English for exploring new places, visiting tourist attractions, and talking about your travel experiences. Whether you’re visiting a famous landmark, exploring a museum, taking a guided tour, or simply spending the day discovering a new city, English can help you enjoy the experience and communicate with more confidence.

In this week’s challenge, you’ll practise all four English skills:

  • Listening: understand English conversations and information about sightseeing and tourist attractions;
  • Speaking: describe a place and recommend an attraction to someone else;
  • Reading: read about a sightseeing trip and understand the main ideas and details;
  • Writing: write about a sightseeing trip or a place you visited.

You’ll also learn useful vocabulary related to sightseeing, landmarks, tourist attractions, museums, souvenirs, guided tours, and directions.

By the end of this week’s challenge, you’ll be able to:

  • understand common English related to sightseeing and tourist attractions;
  • use useful vocabulary to talk about places you visit;
  • describe landmarks and interesting places;
  • recommend a tourist attraction to a friend or visitor;
  • talk about your sightseeing experiences; and
