Welcome to Week 11 of the Weekly Four-Skill English Challenge!
This week, you’ll practise the English you need to plan and talk about a weekend trip. Whether you’re planning a short getaway with your family, visiting a nearby city, or exploring a new place in Canada, being able to talk about your plans in English can make travelling easier and more enjoyable.
You’ll learn useful vocabulary for travel, activities, schedules, transportation, and accommodation. You’ll also practise common ways to talk about the future, such as “I’m going to…”, “I’m planning to…”, and “We’re leaving on…”. These expressions are useful not only when talking about travel but also when discussing your everyday plans.
During this week’s challenge, you’ll practise all four English skills. You’ll listen to a conversation about planning a trip, speak about your own weekend plans, read about a weekend getaway, and write a simple travel plan.
By the end of the challenge, you’ll be able to talk about where you’re going, how you’re getting there, what you’re going to do, and when you’re going to do it. You’ll also create your own weekend trip plan using the English you’ve practised.
So, choose a destination, make a plan, and let’s get started! ✈️
