Welcome to Week 12: Visiting a Tourist Attraction
This week you will practice English for visiting a tourist attraction. Whether you are exploring a museum, visiting a historic site, enjoying a national park, or discovering a local landmark, you need English to ask questions, understand signs, and get useful information.
In this challenge, you’ll practise all four language skills through realistic activities. You’ll listen to tourist information, practise asking questions at a visitor centre, read signs and visitor information, and write about a memorable visit. These activities will help you communicate better when exploring Canada and other places.
By the end of this week’s challenge, you’ll be able to:
- ask for information at a tourist attraction;
- understand common signs and visitor instructions;
- find important information such as opening hours and admission prices; and
- describe a memorable visit in writing.
